Watch the new "Energy Solutions - made in Germany" film
“Energy solutions – made in Germany” is a 30-minute film production on today’s innovative and sustainable energy solutions from Germany. It presents insights into all major technologies and service solutions needed for a successful energy transition - covering renewable energy systems, energy efficiency solutions, smart grids, storage technologies and mobility solutions. The plot guides you through all levels and aspects of the energy supply – ranging from sustainable energy generation technologies and new infrastructural solutions, to efficient energy use in buildings, industry and transport.
A growing number of people are living in refugee camps. If they have access to electricity at all, it’s often generated by inefficient and polluting diesel generators. Renewables would help save a great deal of money that could be used to help refugees in more effective ways.
Within the scope of a project that received around three million euros in funding from the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi), supply bottlenecks in a small grid area could be successfully resolved by a district storage system combined with a market place to trade surplus electricity.
