The fact-finding mission includes a networking event and on-site visits of best-practice projects.

The networking event and information seminar will be held on December 05 2022 in Berlin. The event provides insight into the current situation, trends and prospects for German energy solutions with regard to Smart Grids and Energy Storage Solutions You have the chance to exchange knowledge with German experts and company representatives.
On the following days, on-site visits to see best-practice technology applications and/or measures are planned for you in Berlin & Brandenburg
You will benefit from a comprehensive information and visitor programme designed to foster the transfer of expertise.

Representatives from state-owned and private companies, grid operators, ministries, public authorities and energy associations who want to gain a first-hand insight into German energy solutions are welcome to join the fact-finding-mission

Energy solutions made in Germany

Germany is under considerable pressure from the energy transition to make its power grids smarter. Much of the work involves developing secure access and communication devices for the smart grid, known as smart meter gateways, which the German government is already working on.
In the context of the energy transition, the goal ist o provide 60% of our electricity from renewable sources by2035 and 80% by 2050.
In regards of the growing share of fluctuating renewables, the power system has become more flexible to ensure continued system and supply security. Energy storage is one of several options to increase the flexibility of the energy supply.
