The official commencement of business of Gerodur MPM Kunststoffverarbeitung GmbH & Co. KG was in 1993. Since this time our company is not only well-known for energy-efficient engineering in Germany but also Europe-wide. We specialise in the basic material of plastics that has a very broad and demanding range of applications. Our well-established company operates globally according to high quality benchmarks and recognized standards. With the most up-to-date machines, monitoring and measuring devices we are oriented towards five business units: heating & sanitary, piping systems, profiles, geothermal systems, and medical technology – that all under the roof of energy-efficient engineering!

Geothermal probes for the Einstein Congress St.Gallen
In the heart of the city St. Gallen a new convention centre is established. At the end of 2006 the operations for this complex excavation were taken up. The heating system should be modern and ecological - therefore geothermal energy was used. In this greatest construction ever built in Switzerland, a four-level underground garage with 280 parking spaces was developed. With the installation of a reservoir underneath the building the water resource can be used reasonable.
GEROtherm® horizontal heat exchanger
When planning to extend the production area of Gerodur an environmental protection should have been realised. So, this was implemented by the utilisation of free spaces as energetic heat exchanger surfaces. Therefore the temperature level of the sub-surface and the coldness of the surroundings are used to cool down production water in the low temperature range. Potential savings can amount to more than 450 tons of CO2 /year of operation.
Energy piles for skyscrapers in Frankfurt am Main
Through the use of heat pumps for a central production of coldness and/or heat, the capability of earth can be utilized multifaceted. So, energy pile systems are inexhaustible sources that are usable as a subsystem of complex production systems. One of these projects was the skyscraper Gallileo.
Wien: unique worldwide – underground railway station heated and cooled by geothermal energy
Geothermal energy can be used for heating and cooling ecologically friendly. The environmental effect is intensified by the system “enercret” of the company Nägele Energie- und Haustechnik by using existing parts of the building as heat exchangers. For the first time this environmentally friendly and cost-efficient procedure is used for the construction of the underground railway in Wien.
