Founded over 50 years ago, iproplan® has been delivering energy-optimised designs for buildings since the early 1990s. At the core of this multi-disciplinary, medium-sized company of consulting engineers and architects is a Building Physics Department headed by Dr Saad Baradiy who takes great pains to harmonise integrated engineering solutions. Reducing the energy take of buildings requires a team approach involving many disciplines as well as building users and project managers. Energy saving requirements have been a feature of German building regulations since 1995. Last year iproplan won 1st Prize in an architecture competition for a low energy computer research building at Jülich and the company is currently supervising the latter stages of its constructions.
