Compact leak testers with tracer gas to detect leaks under serial conditions SAVING with less consumption of air and electricity supply KeyX GmbH develops, manufactures and distributes a series of integrated leak tightness test devices based on the utilisation of forming gas (95% nitrogen/ 5% hydrogen) as the test gas. The unique sensor is able to hydrogen in real time in a closed loop, i.e. five times quicker than a standard detector, with a lower limit of 0,2 ppm. When compared with state of the art procedures using compressed air and helium, respectively, as test gases, the procedure is both cheaper and quicker. The family comprises three members, which belong to different accuracy classes. The company is also able to meet requirements far in excess of the performance of these devices by tailor-made special units. Measurement, evaluation and data storage software belong optionally to the system as well as clamping units for the parts to be tested. The technology is particularly suitable for large-volume parts like cooling units, tanks and containers. Highly flexible and/or labile items like packaging from plastics, break hoses and flexible pipes, which can be tested automatically in real time the first time. Owing to the modular construction of the system, a number of test units may be connected in parallel, thus allowing for a further decrease of the cycle time down to 1 second for volumes of 1 litre, e.g., if necessary. The company furthermore offers training for the operators, measures for quality insurance, maintenance and calibration according to certified standards.
