TESVOLT specialises in developing innovative, sustainable energy storage systems that reap rewards not just for the environment, but also for our customers’ balance sheets. State-of-the-art prismatic lithium battery cells from Samsung SDI combined with our patented and TÜV-certified Active Battery Optimizer (ABO) smart cell control system ensure superior performance and reliability, without compromise. Our broad product portfolio covers all commercial and industrial areas of application for energy storage systems: with outputs from 10 kWh to 100 MWh, our solutions can be connected to high-voltage or low-voltage systems, they can be on-grid or off-grid, or used with solar, wind, hydroelectric or combined heat and power sources. TESVOLT produces its commercial storage system solutions in series in Lutherstadt Wittenberg, Germany, at Europe’s first gigafactory for battery storage systems, and delivers them all over the world. The company has already completed over 1,200 storage projects worldwide. TESVOLT has won accolades including the German Entrepreneur Award for Rising Stars. The company also received The smarter E Award in the Outstanding Projects category as well as the international Alliance for Rural Electrification (ARE) Award for a project supplying off-grid energy to an avocado farm in southwest Australia.

Off-grid Avocado farm in western Australia
The avocado farm, 330 km south of Perth, requires a stable power supply for irrigation pumps and other technical systems. The energy from a 53-kilowatt photovoltaic system has to be stored for the evening hours, since the utility grid is not always available in this remote region. To ensure that the power and water supply are both self-sufficient and environmentally friendly, the solar installation is combined with a TESVOLT storage system and salt-water batteries. The TESVOLT TS 50 absorbs peak loads while the saltwater batteries ensure that the base load remains stable. This means the farm runs on 100% renewable energies all year long. The project was recognised as outstanding by “the smarter E AWARD” in 2018.

Solar containers in Mali - Energy for 250.000 people
In cooperation with Africa GreenTec, TESVOLT is supplying lithium storage systems for 50 solar containers with a total capacity of 3 megawatt hours (MWh), enabling a reliable power supply for 25 villages in Mali. The 40-foot containers, each with a 37 to 45-kWp photovoltaic system and a 60-kWh battery storage system, supply electricity for EUR 0.20 per kilowatt hour (kWh). Until now, villagers had to pay up to EUR 1.50 per kWh of electricity, which came from diesel generators – or face having no electricity at all. TESVOLT storage systems can be used worldwide, even in demanding environments, and have a long lifespan thanks to the Active Battery Optimizer developed by TESVOLT.

Solar-powered off-grid protective cabin for construction workers in the Middle East
The construction company Consolidated Contractors Company (CCC) has developed the world’s first 100% solar-powered protective cabin for construction workers. PV modules supply electricity throughout the day. In the evening hours, the electricity comes from a TESVOLT battery storage system. CCC implements construction projects in North Africa and the Middle East, so the cabin not only provides employees with a place for their office work, but also protects them from the high temperatures of the day. If the temperature outside is 50°C, the cabin offers a pleasant environment of 25°C – and maintaining this temperature requires just six hours of sunlight per day. The solar-powered protective cabin from CCC and TESVOLT was awarded the Environmental Award 2018 by the International Pipe Line & Offshore Contractors Association.
