KMA Umwelttechnik GmbH is a medium-sized family company headquartered in Königswinter near Bonn. KMA develops and produces exhaust air filter systems for industrial use. The topic of sustainability was given a high priority at KMA early on: with more than 3000 exhaust air filter systems, KMA is a leading provider in the global market for energy-efficient exhaust air filter systems in industry. KMA has always linked the overall goal of "clean air" with the secondary goal of "using minimal energy". Thanks to innovative environmental technology, KMA filters now avoid thousands of tons of CO2 around the world. Environmental protection with which our customers even save a lot of money. For example, KMA exhaust air filter systems are designed to be extremely energy-saving in operation: low filter pressure loss, the avoidance of combustion processes or the use of replacement filters significantly reduce energy consumption and resource consumption compared to afterburners, or mechanical filters. For some years now, KMA has been combining the exhaust air purification of industrial exhaust air with the recovery of the process heat contained in it, enabling customers to reduce their carbon footprint. With the establishment of a subsidiary in Shanghai in 2013, the company took an important step towards internationalization. China is already one of the most important markets for KMA. Environmental technology is research-intensive and requires constant further development of the solutions. Innovation and creativity are core components of the work at KMA. The combination of energy-efficient exhaust air purification and systematic energy recovery has become a corporate philosophy. KMA has its own R&D team that works closely with technical universities and is active in specialist groups. In cooperation with our customers, we actively address future issues such as Industry 4.0.
