The aluplast group is one of the largest and most innovative international manufacturers of plastic window systems. Today, its brand ranks third in a European brand comparison and fifth worldwide. This year, aluplast is commemorating its 25th anniversary of its founding, having become a global player within a quarter of a century. The aluplast group currently has 22 production sites and sales offices worldwide, with its customers numbering 1600 companies. Using aluplast’s annual production volume of 150,000 metric tons of PVC (for the extrusion of window systems), their customers manufacture 12 million windows per year. Thanks to their strict product policy, their cooperation with partner companies, their flexibility and market-oriented innovations, company owner Manfred J. Seitz and his sons Dirk Seitz and Patrick Seitz have succeeded in creating one of the most successful companies in the sector within just a few years. Winner of the MOE-Award 2005 was the aluplast GmbH, which has already generated most of its annual turnover in the MOE-Countries. With the nomination for finalist during the award ceremony “Entrepreneur of the Year 2005 and 2007 of Baden-Württemberg” in the category “Industry”, Ernst & Young appreciated the extraordinary entrepreneurial achievements of the aluplast group.

With the system series IDEAL 4000® it was our first-time success to develop a heatinsulating and at the same time cost-effective U-PVC window –and that is completely without metal reinforcement inside the window system. This is achieved by combining two innovative aluplast technologies: the glass bonding technology in the window sash and a new kind of U-PVC reinforcement (thanks to a version of Ultradur® High Speed (PBT) which BASF developed especially for aluplast) in the window frame. The ingenious inner life of window frame and sash avoids metal thermal bridges and achieves a Uf-value of 1.1W/m²K without the use of special, thermal separated reinforcements and foam inserts.
