Annexe of the Raiffeisen HQ – "EOD Tower", Vienna. The world's first high-rise "passive house" building.
Client: Raiffeisen Headquarter Wien GesbR, Vienna, Austria Trench units for heating and cooling have been perfectly adapted to the spatial conditions of the annexe of the Raiffeisen Wien GesbR headquarters. A total of 1,250 Katherm QL trench heating units (displacement ventilation) and Katherm HK trench heating and cooling units were installed. The total length of the tailor-made trenches is far greater than a kilometre long and they are covered with natural aluminium grilles. The curved units were particularly challenging. Recesses had already been cut in the floor panels in the Raiffeisen annexe. The perfectly curved trench heaters were manufactured to order based on the internal and external dimensions. The Raiffeisen HQ annexe on Vienna's Danube Canal is the world's first high-rise passive office building. Heating and cooling with concrete as well as combined heat and power trigeration systems are the most important cornerstones of this sophisticated building technology.

Mercedes Plaza, Moscow. Landmark at Moscow's main traffic artery. Retail and office space with bipartite architecture.
Client: АСКК, Moscow, Russia Installed products: Katherm NK Trench Heating Units, Convectors, SlimKon Façade Heating Systems, Tandem Door Air Curtains Features: > Katherm NK trenches produce an even dispersion of cold air throughout the room and specifically screen cold air on the surface of the windows. > Convectors with elliptic steel pipes and permanently fixed steel fins guarantee optimum heat transfer. > In addition, polygonal SlimKon façade heating systems are used for the effective screening of cold air. This creates an atmosphere of comfort directly on the large glass facade. > Tandem 300 and 385 door air curtains combat heat loss on the doors. Their screening effect ensures a comfortable indoor climate and lends a rapid feeling of comfort, especially at low outdoor temperatures.

Swedbank AB, Stockholm, Sweden. Openness and transparency for the new headquarters. Undisturbed view with optimum interior climate.
Client: Swedbank AB Swedbank is one of Northern Europe's largest banks. Its new headquarters opened in Sundbyberg in the spring 2014. "Openness and simplicity" is the architect's mantra for the Swedbank head office. Kampmann trench heating is part of the overall solution. Openness: The view from outside looking inside (and vice versa) remains undisturbed thanks to the Katherm NK trench heating under the floor-height windows. The natural convection trench heating effectively screens cold air. The market-leading technology with a high-output PowerKon works efficiently and virtually invisibly beneath a stylish, understated Optiline roll-up grille. Simplicity: 731 Katherm NK were installed as a continuous run within the Swedbank head office. The trench heatering units stand out on account of their low thermal mass and are therefore easy to control. Quick delivery and fast installation with Eurokonus valve connections ensured a seamless and fast installation process in Sundbyberg.
