Conversion and extension of Municipal Baths in Plauen
Conversion and rehabilitation of a historic men´s indoor swimming pool.
In designing the building and the technical installations, the greatest care was taken to ensure ecologically responsible operation:
A photovoltaic installation on the south-west side of the baths is the externally visible expression of this ecological model project; through the application of various components (e.g. geothermics, solar thermics, photovoltaics and biomass), it is possible to generate a total of 32% of the required annual heat capacity (energy) ecologically.

Solar Roof Olympic Village, Beijing, China
Vacuum tube collector array on the roofs of the olympic village in Beijing with an area of about 7500 m².
The plant delivers a thermal power of 3 MW and supplies the flats in the olympic village with hot water.

Fraunhofer Centre, Kaiserslautern
Construction of common centre for 2 institute buildings for computer sciences.
The four-storey building integrates office area, computer centres, central functions such as library, cafeteria and lecture hall. (Architects: ASPLAN, Kaiserslautern)
The ecological concept includes earth heat exchanger, use of 4 atriums for climate buffer integrated into the ventilation concept (waste heat usage), heat recovery from air cooling for the computer centre, 2 CHP-Modules with absorption chiller.
