Wood Fibre Heat Insulation Composite System TS
For the semi-detached house in the Berlin district of Zehlendorf end of 2007, a comprehensive analysis was carried out by the DIMaGB Energy Advice. During the period April / May 2008, the site planning was done by the DIMaGB Project Planning. The goal was to create more comfort and save energy. In a first section, a basement ceiling insulation was made with polystyrene sheets and an inner lining with ThermoShield, the IR reflective micro-silicate paint to improve the indoor climate. In the living room a skirting board heating system was installed. Affixing Wood Fibre Heat Insulation Composite System in the Berlin area is a first, knew many professional firms are not yet requested. This was an unusual wealth of detail and accuracy were the specifications. The manufacture of a Wood Fibre HICS is subject to the relevant technical regulations. Nevertheless, a good learning curve and craftsmanship assets belongs to. Care spending is for the entire surface glue-down, the anchors of the plates is a must. After the filling and reinforcement a slice plaster was applied, the conclusion was the outer coating with ThermoShield Exterior. Thus, a full-sorption wall construction with improved thermal insulation and sound-developed arose. The renovated building, with its gleaming facade is an eye catcher. Project data: semi-detached, built in 1963, 330 sqm., 2 floors, basement, 6 m eaves height, street frontage 20.3 m, 75 m outward processing, gross facade area 445 sqm, 95 sqm windows, design, tendering, construction supervision: DIMaGB, Realization : 2008, Cost: reasonable

Energetic Renovation of the kindergarten Saules Gojus
Saules Gojus - solar grove - is called the nursery, whose large property in the north of the Lithuanian capital, Vilnius, directly adjacent to a forest, and can radiate freely on all sides where the sun is out (www.kindergarten.lt). Its official name is the centre for pre-school education, who feels bound to any pedagogical theory and take a holistic approach to nature, languages (Lithuanian, English and German), music and creativity of the individual belong. The house offers 500 m² of space for up to 45 children. 2004, the building was renovated in a first stage (sanitary facilities and the entire electrical system). “Helpful side stood us Dipl.-Ing. Matthias G. Bumann (www.dimagb.de), renowned German expert on sound and healthy building.” tells Andreas Rodenbeck, coordinator of the project. It was important to an energetic upgrading of the exterior walls, which exhibited a double-skin wall with an air gap of 7 cm a U-value of 0.8 W/m²K. Although the U-value for the energy balance of the building is not alone decisive, with chilly temperatures around -20°C, it is nevertheless a characteristic to be observed. With a core insulation with cellulose flakes EKOVATA the U-value to 0.37 W/m²K could be improved to provide a crucial advantage is that at the end of a full-absorption-wall structure is present with capillary conductivity. In February 2007, within the framework of an object construction commission discussed along the following lines: rain leak, window, attic, renovation of the facade, insulate soffits, facade and interior refresh, wood gable south. To improve the energetic quality of the exterior walls to the building experts suggested the use of ThermoShield (www.ThermoShield-Europe.com). Reasons for this include the protection from solar exposure during the summer, the compensation of thermal bridges, driving rain, improving thermal comfort. The practical utility has given this approach to planning law, the following experience report itself is explanatory. “We used ThermoShield for renovation work at our nursery in the summer of 2007, both inside and outside use. While we had to start heating up again in the middle of the night and during the day, the house is now kept warm with a double-heating, even at temperatures of -20°C (January 2009). We are excited by the properties: compared to Germany, despite the extreme conditions of Lithuania from -20 ° C in winter to nearly 30 degrees in the summer heat shield does not fade and there are no cracks at all to see, either in the timber paneling or plaster on one major problem in this country of many colours and on a city tour through Vilnius to watch almost every corner.”
