Office lighting for Sparkasse Savings and Loan Bank in Siegen, Germany
The new build administration centre of the Sparkasse Savings and Loan Bank in Siegen is basing on energy-optimised architecture. The complex with its double-shell glass facade and with thermal activation of the concrete floor slabs, played a major role in the lighting-design concept. The suspended luminaire system with direct-indirect and indirect light distribution installed at the banking centre effectively fulfilled the lighting quality criteria, as well as the thermal and acoustic requirements placed. Various luminaire lengths and different lamp configurations were installed to match the individual room dimensions. A selection of various optical systems was also available. Simple assembly and disassembly of the luminaires offer additional leeway to the operators of the banking complex. A control system regulates the amount of artificial light being used to match the high level of natural-daylight incidence being received at any one time. The design of the pendant luminaire system has been harmonized with the architecture of the buildings, featuring as it does a predominance of glass. MINERGIE® is a Swiss quality label for new buildings and modernised old buildings. S.A.F.E., the Swiss Agency for Energy Efficiency certifies MINERGIE® luminaires. Approached products are combining less energy consumption with excellent light output. Furthermore the products are also tested for their standby consumption and UGR values. Thereby, the special emphasis is placed on the comfort of the users. Products which have a positive effect on this evaluation measure are certified according to the associated module and carry the appropriate label. We are registered with office luminaires of our series SL740 and SL730.
