Brandenburg Gate
The Brandenburg Gate is illuminated as an entrance gateway. A strong silhouette effect on the longitudinal axis through the Tiergarten connects to the Pariser Platz on the opposite side. Concealed luminaires have been installed at the Brandenburg Gate. Yet, by employing the latest light technology and lamps, the connected wattage of the lighting installation could be reduced/lowered from 31 kW to 12 kW, that are 40% of the total energy demand.
Altes Stadthaus
The facade spotlighting of the Altes Stadthaus in Berlin involves spotlighting technology employed in Germany for the first time by Kardorff Ingenieure. Glass filters can blend out light on specific parts of the façade, so that only the desired surfaces are spotlighted. Only eight lamps with the energy consumption of a 2000 watt can provide the elegant as well as appropriate spotlighting of the 2100 sq. metres of façade - less than 1 watt per sq. metre.
GAP 15
At the end of the Königsallee in Dusseldorf an office building with 23 floors has been realized. The dynamic shape of the building is underlined by the façade lighting in harmony with the interior lighting. The power consumption for the office lighting is 11 watt per sq. metre.
