ARIS develops and produces rainwater management systems. Contrary to the rest of the market, we focus on big installations such as for industrial, commercial or public buildings. For us the small family home systems are more a spin-off from our main field. Rainwater management includes harvesting, using, retaining and soaking away the rainwater. A new branch are systems combining the use of rainwater with fire fighting systems, which results in economically and technically very attractive systems. Another branch we recently added to our activities is Greywater recycling, which means collecting and purifying the runoff water from handwash basins and showers, using it for the same purposes as collected rainwater. From the beginning we did intense research on rainwater-specific technical solutions. So we were the first to integrate rainwater filters into the underground tank, making the system easier to install and safer to operate. Rainwater central units combining all components required inside the house (pump, mains water top up, control unit) are common today. We also were the 1st to develop and sell them in 1999 already. We keep some patents for technical solutions like our LUPO filter that fulfils all requirements to a rainwater filter in a very unique and user friendly way, or our KIM!™-tank level measurement that works without any sensor outside in the tank and needs no adjustment. Our systems are manufactured specifically for each project and thus meet the requirements on site as close as technically possible. Since saving resources is the main purpose of our work, the energy consumption of our systems is always an important factor. We minimize it by using optimized power supplies and frequency-controlled pumps wherever possible. The use of the locally available resource water from heaven instead of mains water being pumped often over long distances and purified with high energy consumption, is energy-saving in itself. Our aim is to keep defining the technical state of the art in rainwater management and achieve market leadership by being the best in technology, quality and in customer care.

Gottlieb-Daimler-Stadion
In the Gottlieb-Daimler football stadium in Stuttgart, we supplied a rainwater harvesting system for flushing 216 toilets and irrigating the lawn. This was installed for preparation of the football world championship in 2006. Several matches took place in Stuttgart, including the match for 3rd position. According to plan, the system reduces the consumption of mains water by roughly 8.000 m³ per year.
Dresden Airport
In 2 tanks, the runoff from a roof area of 36.000 m² is filtered and collected for flushing the toilets in the newly built Terminal 2, as well as all non-drinking water applications such as de-icing the runways, cleaning cars, fire brigade training and so on. The annual mains water consumption is reduced by 20.000 m³.
