Hottgenroth Software offers a wide variety of modern software solutions and a customer-oriented range of services. Our products cover among others energy-efficiency-software and a set of building-services-software. They are available in several languages.
The company was founded by Karl-Heinz Hottgenroth. At the end of the 90s he promoted the development of the Energy Consultant which is the leader in software for energy consultants in Germany. It is an essential tool for architects, craftsmen and property owners. In 2002 ETU Software and Hottgenroth Software became partners. As a result the product portfolio was extended by building-services-software. In 2005 ETU developed a data-entry-software, especially for industrial customers and manufacturers.
Nowadays is Hottgenroth Software a successful development, controlling, distribution and customer service team. Programming and support are provided by a high-class pool of qualified engineers, computer scientists and software engineers in close collaboration with experienced employees and experts in various trades.
The in-house support team is continuously strengthened and technically enhanced. At the moment the hotline-service team consists of 21 certified energy consultants for buildings. They assist fast and uncomplicated; the experienced employees keep records of conversations and give suggestions to the development team. The customers profit from this with each software update they regularly receive. Distribution of hardware, technical support/workshops and internet offers complete the companys range.
Hottgenroth Software attaches great importance to quality, concerning both product development and working process. Certification of internal quality management demands a great deal of all employees. Internal training courses guarantee continuous qualification of our team.
Energy Consultant Professional is a specialised software tool for the evaluation of the energetic conditions in residential buildings. By designing of new buildings and by retrofitting of already existing buildings various energy efficiency concepts can be considered. The on-site consultancy as well as the generation of energy performance certificates, as required by the European Energy Performance Building Directive, is made possible by means of the programme. Another built-in feature of this software tool is the calculation of cost effectiveness which plays a decisive role in renovating plans for the existing buildings.
Handling with the software is easy and intuitive. Buildings can be geometrically described with various degrees of complexity, from a basic and quick representation to a detailed construction from individual building elements. Heating and water installation descriptions are subdivided into four parts: generation, storage, distribution and delivery. The programme supports a wide palette of heat generating systems, from conventional heat generators to any kind of systems based on renewable energy sources, such as heat pumps, solar panels and biomass heat generators.
Energy Consultant PLUS is an equivalent software tool designed for non-residential buildings.
Software GetSolar
GetSolar is a scientifically developed and in practice tested software programme for the simulation of solar thermal systems. As such it can serve as an ideal tool to any into the future oriented planning office and installation company.
The programme quickly simulates the heating of a domestic hot water system with or without support for building heating. Additionally a solar swimming bath heating with three construction schemes can be included in the calculation as well. Both, energy and CO2 savings also form part of its calculated output. The programme is extremely easy to handle, especially due to the help of the built-in dimensioning assistant.
The irradiation and temperature generator WetSyn is deployed for the calculation of the solar gain, the current power and the latent temperature of a collector. GetSolar contains the climate database with over 180 locations across Europe.
